Welcome to Heights & Steps ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing heightsnsteps.com, engaging our B2B procurement channels, or purchasing any industrial elevation products, you explicitly agree to be bound by the following comprehensive Terms and Conditions.

1. E-Commerce & B2B Commercial Terms

Heights & Steps operates as a premium manufacturer and distributor. The terms governing our commercial transactions are absolute to ensure operational efficiency and product integrity.

1.1 Pricing & Quotations

• All prices listed or quoted are exclusive of GST (Goods and Services Tax) unless explicitly stated otherwise.
• Due to the volatile nature of raw materials (Aerospace-grade Aluminum, FRP resins, high-tensile steel), formal quotations are valid only for 7 business days from the date of issue.
• Prices are subject to revision without prior notice prior to the execution of a formal Purchase Order (PO).

1.2 Accepted Payment Methods

To finalize an order, payments must be processed through our authorized digital and banking channels. We do not accept cash transactions exceeding limits mandated by the Income Tax Act.

• Bank Transfers: RTGS, NEFT, and IMPS directly to our corporate account.
• Digital Payments: Verified UPI transactions and commercial credit/debit cards via our secure payment gateway.
• B2B Credit Terms: Extended credit terms (e.g., Net 30) are strictly reserved for vetted corporate clients with a verified history and a signed Letter of Credit (LC).

2. Strict Non-Refundable Policy

Due to the critical safety requirements of industrial ladders, scaffolding, and elevation platforms, we enforce a zero-compromise return policy.

• All Sales Are Final: Products sold by Heights & Steps are strictly non-refundable and non-exchangeable once dispatched from our manufacturing facility.
• Safety Integrity: Once a ladder leaves our controlled environment, we can no longer guarantee its structural integrity against mishandling or microscopic stress fractures caused by third parties. Reselling such equipment poses a severe risk, hence returns are categorically denied.
• Transit Damages: If a product arrives damaged via our logistics partners, it must be reported to info@heightsnsteps.com within 24 hours of delivery, accompanied by unboxing video evidence. Resolutions for transit damage are limited to structural repair or identical replacement at our sole discretion.

3. Return To Origin (RTO) Policy

If a dispatched order is rejected at the delivery location without valid documented transit damage, the shipment will trigger an RTO (Return to Origin) protocol.

• The buyer shall be held liable for 100% of the two-way logistics and freight charges.
• An additional 20% industrial restocking and safety re-inspection fee will be levied against the invoice value.
• In the case of prepaid orders, the remaining balance will be credited as a digital store note, not refunded to the bank account.
• Custom Fabrications: RTO on custom-built FRP or bespoke dimensions will result in a 100% forfeiture of the advance payment, as the unit cannot be restocked or sold to general consumers.

4. Manufacturing & Delivery Timelines

While we operate a state-of-the-art facility designed for rapid deployment, high-grade manufacturing takes time.

• Standard catalog items are generally dispatched within 3-5 business days.
• Custom industrial fabrications require a minimum of 14-21 business days post drawing approval.
• Force Majeure: Heights & Steps shall not be held liable for delivery delays caused by acts of God, severe weather, strikes, material shortages, or disruptions in national logistics networks.

5. Industrial Rentals & Leases

For clients utilizing our temporary elevation solutions (rental towers, extension ladders), the following conditions apply:

• A mandatory security deposit is required prior to equipment dispatch.
• The lessee assumes full financial responsibility for any structural damage, chemical corrosion, or loss of equipment during the rental period.
• Late returns will be billed at a 1.5x premium daily rate deducted directly from the security deposit.

6. Limitation of Liability

Heights & Steps engineers products to exceed standard OSHA and domestic safety norms. However, working at elevation inherently involves risk.

• We are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of life, injury, or operational downtime) arising from the improper use, overloading, or modification of our products.
• It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure their workforce is adequately trained in ladder safety protocols.

7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms and all commercial transactions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

• Any disputes, claims, or legal proceedings arising out of these Terms and Conditions or the sale of our products shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
